The Forgotten Sibling

Torn I am, between a friend and the sibling, for I love my friend but the sibling calls me…

A piece by Monalisa
I am your sibling, whom you all have forgotten.
Man is oblivious, his memory rotten
You wander all life in search of life,
With infinite determination ready to strive.

You are all are held up in the web of this world.
With lofty ambitions and great endeavors
You tour the planets, you tame the atom.
The unbreakable bond you all have forgotten.

You struggle ceaselessly.
The transient friend you take too seriously
But when comes the inevitable all
The friend betrays and the sibling calls

Yes, life is his friend and death man’s sibling
Accept it boldly or face it trembling.
