Hold My Hand

Everybody needs a hand to hold, somebody to fall asleep to…

Hold, hold my hand

Dear crinkled eyes, having seen

Unbearable pain, with wrinkles

To show on your wry smile covered face.

For you have touched much and more

In this world, colder than a dead heart.

For I am no more than a shadow

Among the grim vestiges of snowy sorrow.

Hold, hold my hand,

For the sun is fast setting this time of day,

Albeit far lies a moonless night.
